How can I purchase SHFT?

You can purchase SHFT directly from our website: shft.run/getstarted or on our Facebook Page.

What is the price for shipping?

We have free shipping worldwide.

Where can I download the app?

If you have an IOS phone you can download the app on App Store. If you have an Android phone, you can download the app in Google Play

How long is the delivery time?

Depending on where you’re located the delivery can take from 1-7 days. We’ll send you a tracking number as soon as your SHFT leaves our shop so you know when to expect your SHFT.

My pods keep losing connection.

If your pods lose connection it might be because of one of the following problems. If that doesn’t work you can contact us here.

  1. Your pods aren’t upgraded. See a guide on how to upgrade your pods here.
  2. Bluetooth disturbance; Other running gadgets may disturb the SHFT connection if they’re also using Bluetooth (running watch, heartrate monitor etc.).
  3. Wrong placement of your phone. See where you should place your phone here.
Is my phone compatible with SHFT?

Probably! Your phone is compatible with SHFT if it meets the following requirements:

Apple: Iphone 4S or newer devices running IOS 8 and above. IPod Touch are not recommended because they don't have a real GPS, so distance and speed will be very inaccurate.

Android: Devices using Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology, running Android 4.4 and above

SHFT is not compatible with Windows phones.

Can I listen to music while I run with SHFT?

Yes. The volume of the music will simply lower, when you get instructions from the coach.

Can I use SHFT when it is raining?

YES! SHFT is water resistant, so just keep running.

How long is the battery life?

Your pods can be used for approximately 7 hours in use. They will go on Sleep Mode after ten minutes without movement. They can last up to 30 days in Sleep Mode. We recommend charging your pods for 45 minutes to be fully charged.

How do I know my pods are updated?

Logon your SHFT app. Go to Settings > Advanced > Upgrade pods.

How do I get help if my pods don’t work?

We’re here to help ! Send us an email briefly explaining what happened during your run to support@shft.run
For our support team to help you the best way possible, you need to include answers to the following questions:

  1. What email did you use to set up your SHFT account?
  2. What phone do you use, and what iOS/Android version?
  3. What version of SHFT App do you have? (Settings > Advanced > Version)
  4. Do you have other Bluetooth peripherals connected while running (smart watch, wireless headphones other sports trackers)?
  5. Where do you place your phone during your run (if on arm, which arm)?
  6. How have you placed the pods (which foot, where on the foot
  7. on the chest strap over/under your shirt?)

You will also need to upload your logs, so we can have a look at the run. Don't forget to upload the logs within five days of your run. You upload your logs by going to the SHFT App > Settings > Advanced > Upload logs

How do I get started?

When you have purchased your SHFT pods it’s easy to get started, just follow these 4 steps: Download SHFT app – Connect your pods to the app – Start running – Get personal real-time feedback.

Where do I place the pods?

One pod is placed on your chest with the included chest strap. The Pod can also be attached to a sportsbra but make sure it is secured firmly and does not bounce around while you run. The other pod is placed on your right shoe.

Do I need to bring my phone for my run?

Yes. All the data from the pods are being analyzed and translated through the SHFT app, which is the source of the real-time voice coaching.

Can I run without the coach on?

Yes. You can turn off the coach in settings.

Where do I place my phone during my run?

You can keep your phone in your hand, in an armband, in your pocket or in a waist pack in front. ATTENTION: Do not place the phone on your back.

How is the technical run build up?

The technical run starts with a 5 minutes warm up followed by a 2 minutes screening with a two minutes pause. Based on the result of the screening, the coach chooses a training focus, which will be the primary focus throughout the next training sessions. Then your first technical run of 6 minutes starts, followed by a 2 minutes break. A technical run consists of three 6-minutes technical runs. After your 9th running session with SHFT, there will be a new screening with a new focus.

Can I delete a run?

Yes. However, at the moment it is only possible to delete runs through the portal. The deleted runs will not influence your statistics.

What running style will SHFT coach me towards?

Your ideal running style is individual. Bodies and running styles are different; SHFT will get to know you during the Screening- and Technical Runs and coach you, based on this data, towards the best running technique specifically for you.
That being said, we do have some indications of what we strive towards, which is based on science, mathematics, empiricism and general knowledge from doctors, physicians and our coaches.

What is SHFT running metrics?

SHFT can see more than the human eye and measure several running metrics during your run. We measure all the standard metrics such as Pace, Distance and Steps per Minute, but we also measure other running metrics, such as Watt, Body Bounce, Landing Position, Landing Angle, Ground Contact Time and so forth.

What is the difference between SHFT IQ and SHFT?

SHFT IQ is a one-pod solution with built in Artificial Intelligence which is a solution for beginners and intermediate runners. SHFT IQ was launched on Kickstarter and will go in production summer 2017. SHFT is our pro solution for more advanced runners.

How is SHFT different from other running gadgets?

SHFT is the only wearable that measure and analyze 12 metrics. SHFT collects all its data from two pods: one on the right foot and one on the chest. We can measure used energy in watt when running. We use real time coaching and not just feedback based on data. Data is uploaded directly to the app and portal and you don't have to synchronize after your running session.

Can I share SHFT with a running partner?

Yes. However, you need to have separate user accounts since your running history is used for your individual coaching. Mixing up runners individual style will negate the personalized coaching.
